Playing with Purpose.

Childhood is a time of rapid growth, but it's also a time of big emotions, where children often lack the vocabulary to explain. When a child is struggling-whether it's with anxiety, a life transition, trauma, school, or other challenges- they don't sit down and "talk it out." They play it out.

Specialized Evidence-Based Approaches

Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)

Focus: Trauma, Attachment, and Family Healing. CPP is specifically designed for children aged 0–5 who have experienced stressful or traumatic events. Unlike traditional "talk therapy," CPP focuses on the relationship between you and your child as the primary vehicle for healing.

  • How we use it: We work together to understand how your child’s past experiences might be affecting their current behavior. By strengthening your bond, we help your child feel safe and secure again.

  • The Goal: To restore the "protective shield" of the parent-child relationship.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

Focus: Behavioral Challenges and Mastery PCIT is a unique, "coaching-based" model for children with high-intensity behaviors (defiance, tantrums, or aggression). It is one of the most effective treatments for young children because it provides parents with immediate, live tools.

  • The "Tele-PCIT" Advantage: In a virtual setting, I act as a "coach in your ear." While you play with your child, I observe via video and provide real-time feedback. You learn exactly what to say and do to de-escalate a meltdown as it is happening.

  • The Goal: To decrease child behavior problems while increasing parent confidence and calm.
